October 3 – Tucson: Understanding Evolution II - Overview of Biological Evolution (Series). Clear, compact, and immediately useful. October 18 – Tempe: Galaxies and Stars. We've all admired the beauty of the night sky. Secular astronomers claim that everything we see in it formed all by itself in a Big Bang event billions of years ago, with no Creator being involved. But the secular model fails to explain the Universe. It cannot explain the existence of the heavenly bodies – the billions of stars and galaxies we see in space. Through beautiful photographs and videos from NASA and other sources, you'll discover: (a) how stars defy the secular model just by existing; (b) the failure of the secular model to explain galaxies and other large-scale structures; and (c) how the Universe is consistent with the Creation model. Our speaker, Mr. Spike Psarris, an electrical engineer with graduate studies in physics, moved from atheist to creationist to Christian as he saw the evidence of design and the historical validity of the Bible.
